Hello July | Personal Recap

Can hardly believe we are half way through the year? Anyone else struggling to find their feet?

That saying ” The days are long but the months are short” is so true right about now.

Its been tough, I’m not gonna sugar coat it. Because whats the point in that? Following recent posts I’ve read from a few of my favourite mommy bloggers, I also want my readers to know that this is a real life. With heartbreak and sadness but also love, faith and happy endings. Life doesn’t always go the way we want it. Sometimes it never does, but it does go the way it was intended. Everything happens for a reason.

Whatever has happened in your life has brought you to the exact point that you are right now. The other day, I had a real moment of gratefulness, we get stuck in our own troubles that we forget to be thankful for everything that has happen right in our lives.

The 1st 6 months of this year have been really testing but a lot of good has come out it.

To sum it up in a few words (maybe more than a few):

Moved back to Durban

New school for Connor Bean

Growing old friendships

Hospital visits

Passing of my mom

Watching my toddler grow and develop

More Hospital visits

Passing of my aunt

More responsibilities

Family disagreements

9 Years with my Husband

2 year Wedding Anniversary

New Friendships

Car trouble

Looming job redundancy

More hospital visits

Gave my heart to God

Great support systems

Toddler tantrums

Couldn’t forget about the tantrums, some are long, some of short but its all part of the joy that comes with that Mom Life.

However most of it sounds like the guideline for one hectically tragic sob movie, meanwhile it’s just quick highlights from my life over the last 6 months.

But there is always a rainbow, there is always hope, there is always the Love of God.

Wherever you are and whatever life throws at you… remind yourself never to give up because you never knows what waiting for you right around the next corner.

Hows the first half of the year been for you? Feel free to share and offload abit.. whether they are high or low moments. We live real lives, with real feelings and sometimes real crappy situations but there is also really great moments. Lets get real!

Thanks for reading xx

  1. What a year! And although tough the testament to God’s grace in our lives is so real. We too have had a really tough year. But His grace is sufficient for me. Congratulations on giving your heart to the Lord xxx
